Les diverses Ecoles Militaires de l'Armée de Terre, E.M.I.A, E.O.R,E.N.S.O.A et E.N.T.S.O.A ont choisi comme "Parrains" des S. A .S de la France - Libre ou de la France Combattante, tombés soit au cours de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, ou dans les conflits postérieurs, ainsi que des grands noms de cette Epopée.
C' est en tout -à ce jour- 26 Promotions qui ont décidé d' honorer au travers d' un insigne leurs Parrains, il faut noter que certaines ne possèdent pas d' insignes. Il s' agit des Promotions:

Les insignes ci-dessous ont été classés par position hièrarchique (grades).
En regard de chaque nom sont indiquées seulement les Unités S.A.S auxquelles le Parrain a appartenu et non automatiquement celles où il a trouvé la mort. On honore ainsi les anciens S.A.S également.
L'insigne de la Promotion E.O.R S/Lt CALLOC'H (de KERILLIS alias SKINNER) venant à peine de nous parvenir, il fait l' objet d' un rajout en fin de Tableau.

Une mise à jour sera régulièrement effectuée pour les nouvelles Promotions et les insignes prendront place provisoirement en fin de page.

In French Army Schools of Officers and N.C.O's, at each Course named "Promotion" is choosen a Godfather taken in Heroes of French Military History. At this time 28 Promotions have as a Godfather a French S.A.S of WW2 killed in action during or after the War. 24 Promotions of Officers and N.C.O'S have a particular insignia dedicated to the life of the Godfather.
On each line you can find the rank,the name, the school who have choosen him, the year of Promotion and the S.A.S Units where the Godfather has served.
The insignias worn by the Cadets are generaly numbered, engraved on the back of each.
